Gramblr is a photo uploader for Instagram. It is a desktop app for Windows (Mac version is also available) that lets you upload any photo from your computer to your Instagram account, with the possibility of adding comments and tags. It also includes social sharing options so that you can easily share your pics to Facebook and Twitter.
If you're a user of this popular photo sharing service, you know that unlike Facebook or Twitter, it is not possible to upload photos from the Instagram web interface. If you need to share pics that are stored at your PC or camera, you will most likely need to transfer these photos to your mobile device, which could be a rather cumbersome task. Using Gambrl can be a possible solution.
To get started with Gamblr, you need to sign in to your Instagram account and find the photo you want to share (drag and drop is also possible). Unfortunately the task is not as simple as it may seem, since the application has certain requirements. First, it only supports images with JPG and JPEG formats, and the size of the photo should not exceed 500 KB. Besides, the picture should have an exact dimension of 650 x 650 pixels, otherwise the app won't upload it, so you will probably need to previously crop and edit the pics. Another detail to mention is that all the fancy filters that make Instagram special are not available using this app.
In spite of that, if all the requirements are met, Gambrl works and offers a simple solution for when you need to post photos to Instagram from your desktop.
