What is this software?

1. Playing avi files on PS2
2. Playing mp3 files on PS2
3. Making jpeg slideshow picture on PS2

That’s just what it is capable of. Not so damn exciting as Xbox Media Center which can play most media format including ogm & mkv. Also Quick Time (.mov) & Real Player (.rm)

Main requirement:

1. Modded PS2 3rd generation which can read CD-R, DVD-R & DVD-RW (refer to console’s manual). Even still acceptable if no HD-Loader. Actually I’m not sure if it can run on original PS2, but I’m 99.9% sure it can only run on modded PS2.

2. Download this file: Media Player.

3. 1 CD-R & burning device/driver for burning this files.

Step to make it:

1. Extract the rar file which will show 1 rar files & media player folder.

2. There are 2 way whether to burn image file or burn it one by one.
- Image file: extract 'ready burn cd image.rar' files. Then use burner application & burn the image’s file.
- Burn one by one: enter on folder, mediaplayer>ps2, then burn all the files on CD-R. Easy right?

After successfully burned, we proceed to the next step.

3. Turn on PS2 & put the CD-R on the tray & close the tray.

4. Push start then it will go to this menu:



Pick the 1st one, 'Load Mediaplayer from CDROM'

5. After entering main menu:



It’s up to you to play or browse.

6. For adjusting, simply go to configure.

7. It is time to play avi.

Button | Function

* : pause/play

* : change mode to 4:3, 16:9, 20:9 and AUTO

* : quit & return to main menu..

* : info avi files

*Analog directional buttons: Zoom Function.
o Right Analog: Up & Down --> +/- zoom level.
o Left Analog: position of zoom.
*digital directional buttons:
o Up & down, brightness control
o Left & right, level sound control

*Select: Show/hide subtitle. (for srt & ssa files)
*L1 + digital directional buttons -> shrink/enlarge picture
*L2 - R2 : Rewind - Forward
